X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (XRF)
XRF is a fast and easy-to-use technique for non-destructive chemical analysis. The instrument is portable which enables analysis of large and heavy samples on-site. Limitation: XRF cannot determine contents of light elements such as carbon, oxygen or nitrogen.
Typical applications:
- Quantitative chemical analysis of solid or liquid (in a plastic bag) materials of all types
- Metal alloy identification with a built-in database
- On-site analysis of components when samples cannot be taken
- Trace element analysis of e.g.polymers and electronics
